Terms and Conditions of participation in the BBC Worldwide Fan Panel

1. General

1.1 Participation in the panel is voluntary.

1.2 To join our panel you must be at least 16 years of age and a fan or viewer of one or more of BBC Worldwide' s brands or TV shows.

1.3 You may not register multiple times to a panel, but may be a member of more than one panel operated by BBC Worldwide as long as you are a fan or viewer of the brand/TV show for that panel.

1.4 By reading these conditions and submitting your application, you agree to accept these conditions. Once your form has been received you will be notified by BBC Worldwide within a few working days as to whether you have been successful or placed on a waiting list to join the panel.

1.5 When you submit your responses to us you give us a worldwide licence to use your responses to help our team understand fans or audiences of the brand/TV show. If we wish to use your responses for any other purpose [e.g. for publication in a press release] we shall always contact you first to obtain your permission. This licence shall remain in force after you have unsubscribed from the panel.

2. Personal Information

2.1 Please provide us with your correct personal information. If your personal details change over time, please register this change at the BBC Worldwide Fan Panel via your profile page.

2.2 Personal information that you submit to the BBC Worldwide Fan Panel in connection with your registration will only be used when we are administering the surveys, for analysis and statistical purposes. We will never provide individual information on an individual panel member to a third party, except our panel provider, Toluna. When we analyse the data, we remove identifying information and it is not possible to trace responses back to a single panellist. If you are not happy for us to use your personal information in this way, please do not submit this information to us.

2.3 Your email address will not be forwarded to third parties, so you will not receive spam (mass mailing via email) as a result of participation in the the BBC Worldwide Fan Panel. You agree, by applying, to allow BBC Worldwide to send you communications by email about information which is relevant to the panel that you have joined, for example; links to surveys, updates on the panel.

3. Termination

3.1 If you no longer wish to participate in the panel, you can opt-out at any time by unsubscribing from the BBC Worldwide Fan Panel. This can be done by using the unsubscribe link in the log out box. Alternatively you can send an unsubscribe through the "Contact Us" page. Once you have unsubscribed from the panel you will not be able to log in and will not receive any further emails from the panel. Responses to surveys will remain in the panel and personal information can be deleted if requested to do so.
