TERMS AND CONDITIONS
ENTRY INTO THE COMPETITION
The BBC code of Conduct (the "code") for competitions can be found at www.bbc.co.uk/competitioncode and all BBC Worldwide ("BBCW") promotions must comply with the Code.
Entry into the BBCW Fan Panel competition (the "Competition") is open to all residents of Australia, Indonesia, Japan and the Philippines who have signed up to the BBCW Fan panel and have completed at least one survey within the Competition Period. The Promoter is BBC Worldwide Australia Pty Limited ABN: 20 129 255 616 of Level 5, 6 Eden Park Drive, Macquarie Park NSW 2113 and BBC Worldwide Limited, Media Centre, 201 Wood Lane, White City, London, W12 7TS. ("Promoter").

Entry into the Competition is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. It is a condition of entry that all entrants under the age of 18 must have their parent or legal guardian's express permission to enter this Competition in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
The officers, management and employees (or immediate family of an officer, manager or employee) of the Promoter and anyone the Promoter deems connected with this Competition, is not eligible to enter.
The competition and will begin on 1st August 2019 and end on 31st January 2020 ("Competition Period").
To enter the Competition, entrants must:
- Register online
- Complete the online entry form; and in 50 words or less answer the question in the most creative way ("Competition Question").
- No purchase is necessary to enter.
All entries must include the entrant's name, address, postcode, daytime phone number (including area codes), mobile phone number (if applicable) and email address. All entries must be original and must not incorporate material which has been previously published. Incomplete entries or those which, in the opinion of the Promoter, infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party, contain any objectionable content, profanity or are potentially insulting, inflammatory or defamatory will be ineligible to win the prize. It is each entrant's responsibility to inform the Promoter if his/her residential address, email address or phone number changes during the competition.
Multiple entries per entrant is permitted during the Competition Period (1 new entry for each survey completed within the 6 month period specified), however, the answer to the Competition Question in each entry by the same entrant must be unique and original'. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed. No responsibility is taken for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered for any technical or other reason. Entries received after the Closing Date will not be considered. Entries cannot be returned
There is one prize, being a voucher of a value of $170 AUD (One hundred and seventy Australian dollars) ("Prize").
It is a condition of accepting the Prize that the Prize winner must comply with any conditions of use of the Prize and the Prize suppliers' directions or requirements.
The Prize is non transferable or redeemable for cash. The Prize or any element of the Prize cannot be exchanged for any other Prize. The Prize will be at the Promoter's sole discretion. The Prize is subject to availability and the terms and conditions of the entity supplying the Prize.
The Promoter makes no warranties or representations about the fitness for purpose or suitability of any Prize and will not accept responsibility for the quality or fitness for any purpose of any Prize, or the failure of any Prize to be of merchantable quality.
Only one Prize will be awarded.
Entrants are advised that the use of the Prize may be subject to prevailing terms and conditions of the Prize suppliers. It is a condition of accepting the Prize that the Prize winners comply with all such terms and conditions.
JUDGING AND AWARDING OF PRIZE
The Competition will be judged on the basis of originality and creativity of answers entered on the competition website. Please check your e-mail for the competition invite and link to the website. One Winner will be selected based on the best creative entry in response to the question. Chance plays no part in the selection of the Prize winner. The judges' decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into in respect of such decision. The Prize winner will be notified via email within 14 days from closing date. The Prize must be claimed by the Prize winner within 14 days of notification
If a Prize winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the Prize by the stipulated date, the Prize will be forfeited and a substitute prize will not be offered in lieu of the Prize. Promoter reserves the right to offer the Prize to a runner up, or to re-offer the Prize in any future Competition.
On successful contact and confirmation with the winner, Promoter will send the Prize to the winner to a designated address via email. Promoter will not be liable for any disruption, delay, strike action or incorrect delivery by any postal or courier service.
In the event that the Prize winner is less than 18 years of age, the Promoter may, at its discretion, award the Prize to the winner's parent or legal guardian.
All entrants agree to provide the Promoter or the Promoter's authorised agent with proof of identity, residency, age and/or proof of entry validity if selected as the Prize winner or if reasonably requested by the Promoter or the Promoter's authorised agent. Proof of age, identification, residency and entry considered suitable for verification is at the sole discretion of the Promoter. In the event that a Prize winner cannot provide suitable proof, the Prize winner will forfeit the Prize in whole and no substitute will be offered.
By entering the Competition, each entrant warrants that their entry is their own original work, and that they own all rights (including copyright) in their entry. Each entrant indemnifies the Promoter for any costs or loss incurred by the Promoter as a result of this warranty bring false or incorrect.
No responsibility will be taken by the Promoter, for any changes in dates, times or cancellations or other arrangements that may prevent the Prize winner from winning the Prize or using the Prize.
The Promoter reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, to disqualify:
· Any entry which, in the opinion of the Promoter, includes any objectionable content, profanity or is potentially insulting, inflammatory or defamatory; or
· Any individual who tampers with the entry process, submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who has in the opinion of the Promoter, engaged in unlawful or improper conduct that is designed to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the Competition or is generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the Promoter.
The Promoter reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions or to cancel, alter or amend the Competition or the Prize at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, or if circumstances arise outside of its control.
In the event that the Promoter cancels or varies the Competition or varies or withdraws the Prizes it shall not:
· Be liable to any person for any costs, loss or damage (including costs, loss or damage caused by any negligence) arising out of, in connection with, such cancellation, variation or withdrawal; or
· Be required to conduct the Competition at any other time.
No responsibility will be accepted by the Promoter for late, lost or misdirected entries and all entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt of the entry into the Promoter's database and NOT time of transmission by the entrant. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for outdated or incorrect contact details or contact details by which the entrant cannot be contacted during business hours on the relevant dates.
A decision of the Promoter in relation to the conduct of the Competition is binding and conclusive and no correspondence will be entered into.
Entrants enter the Competition at their own risk. With the exception of liability which cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter shall not be liable for (and the Prize winner agrees to release the promoter from liabilities related to) any loss or damage which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury or sickness suffered or sustained as a result of accepting or using the Prize or entering the Competition.
The Promoter collects entrants’ personal information (as the term is defined in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)) for the purpose of conducting and promoting this Competition (including, but not limited to, determining and notifying winners). Entrants are advised that their personal information may be disclosed to State and Territory lottery departments and their names as the winner may be published as required under the relevant lottery legislation. Entrants are also advised that from time to time, their personal information may be disclosed to third parties (including, but not limited to, third party prize providers) for the purpose of administering competitions and prizes on behalf of the Promoter or for other purposes contemplated in these Terms and Conditions.
Each entrant grants to the Promoter a non-exclusive, irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide, transferable and royalty-free licence to use their entry or any part thereof for all purposes connected with the Competition. Each entrant waives their moral rights in relation to any copyright material that they may submit as part of this competition.
The name and place of residence of the winner may be obtained by sending a self-addressed envelope to BBC Worldwide Australia Pty Limited, Level 5, 6 Eden Park Drive, Macquarie Park NSW 2113 within two months of the closing date of the Competition.
Any promotional activity or press release the winner makes in relation to the Competition has to be pre-approved by Promoter in writing.
